The Play Ledger keeps data collection to a minimum. This page explains what we gather, why, and what your rights are under UK GDPR.
What we collect
Browsing the site doesn't require an account, and we don't ask for personal details to read anything. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you send — and nothing more. We also collect anonymised, aggregated analytics about which pages and comparisons readers find useful.
Why we use it
Contact details are used only to reply to you. Analytics help us see which write-ups are worth expanding and which are being ignored. We don't build advertising profiles and we don't sell or rent data to anyone.
Cookies and tracking
We use a small number of cookies, covered in the cookie policy. When you click an affiliate link, the operator may set its own cookies to credit the referral; those are governed by that operator's privacy policy, not ours.
How long we keep things
Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Aggregated analytics carry no personal identifiers and aren't tied back to you.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask what we hold about you, request a correction or deletion, or object to a particular use. Email privacy@theplayledger.com and we'll deal with it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
