How we're paid, in plain English
No jargon and no small print buried at the bottom — here's the whole arrangement.
The Play Ledgeris free to read because it's funded by affiliate commission. Several of the operators we cover run affiliate programmes, and when you click a “Visit” link and go on to register an account, that operator pays us a referral fee. You pay nothing extra — the offer and terms you get are exactly the same as going to the site directly.
What it does and doesn't affect
Commission keeps the lights on; it doesn't decide the verdicts. We don't rank operators by how much they pay, we don't accept payment to upgrade a review, and a commercial relationship never stops us pointing out where a site falls short. The order of our list reflects our own review process, not a rate card.
How to spot the links
Affiliate links are the primary “Visit [operator]” buttons on the scorecards. They carry standard tracking tags and are marked up as sponsored links for transparency. Plain informational links — to the regulator, to support services or between our own pages — are never affiliate links.
About the offers we show
Where we mention a welcome offer, we state it as a neutral fact and attach the standard “18+, T&Cs apply” note. We don't use urgency or superlatives, and we never imply that any offer guarantees a win or removes risk. Bonus terms are set by the operator and can change, so always read them on the operator's own site before you sign up.
